Morning
Sue E has been making lots of pentagons for her new quilt from Brigitte’s new book
Sue W’s quilt was back from quilting
and I showed her how to attach the binding
Jo has been stitching down her “Briar Hill” blocks (pattern by Sue Ambrose – Somerset Patchwork)
and in class she was stitching Steampunk
Karen learnt another new embroidery stitch
and Karen’s quilt was also back from quilting
Karen made this quilt using my “Carpenter’s Wheel” template set. If you’d like to learn how to make this quilt, or another using any of my template sets, I’m teaching at the Sewn and Quilted Winter Workshop on Friday 1st July. Click the link for further details or contact the shop on (03) 9877 1664. I’d love to see you there!
Afternoon
Tineke was chain piecing piles of pinwheels
Frances cut and prepped another block, and chose fabrics for several others
Dot pulled out all her blocks and we played with settings
Carilyn has started on her appliqué
and Cathie was busy cutting and sewing, and cutting and sewing…..

So much fun and inspiration in an afternoon is probably illegal ….or should be taxed! Tee hee…..wonderful, wonderful.
Your students are very inspired and talented M !
Lovely projects in this post !!
I wish you a great and funny weekend !
Love the look of that applique tall ship…
There are just so many wonderful projects, it is hard to select one for this week’s gold star – but I think it has to go to Sue’s fussy cut pentagons!
Totally awesome work, you have amazing students.
Sue E.’s pentagon shapes are adorable and I recognize Tineke’s pinwheels. No one can say there’s not much variety in quilt making! Thanks for the sock yarn recommendation.
Thought the red and white quilt looked familiar!!
wow the carpenters wheel looks great………….
I would love to be there July 1…. one day! Such a gorgeous carpenter’s wheel quilt!
Oh such a lot of pretty sewing going on!!
