20160612-120111.jpgJo cut out another block

20160612-120142.jpgand together we chose combinations for lots more

20160612-120212.jpgLeanne had a lesson on curved appliqué and worked hard on her bow

20160612-120256.jpgand apologies to Denise – I missed taking a pic of her hexagons.

Afternoon

Lynne is back from her long holiday and she stayed all day, working hard on cutting, piecing (fabric was a tad short!) and attaching borders

20160612-120528.jpgFrances had another block made

20160612-120619.jpgChris and I worked on borders to appliqué her hexies to (and Doreen, the fabric is a Kona Solid “Celadon” SKU #K001-1065)

20160612-120826.jpgHelen worked on more hexies

20160612-120928.jpgTineke (yes, her parents are Dutch) learnt how to make pinwheels

20160612-121019.jpgCathie sewed and cut more strips for her new quilt

20160612-121059.jpgI suggested another way for Jane to tackle her melon pieces

20160612-121144.jpgDot was auditioning backgrounds for her blocks

20160612-121230.jpgand she’s caught the sock bug too!

20160612-121307.jpgTo those who are unwell – we missed you and hope you’re better soon.

Awesome as always. Chris’s border is going to be fantastic.

  6. Sue’s quilt is stunning, and I love the fussy cut hexies (every time I see hexies, I think about Mrs B, which then reminds me of my Aunts’ Quilt!!). I don’t know which of the fabrics that Dot was auditioning to choose – they all look good with her blocks!

I love Dot’s sock yarn Meredithe. Is it one of the ones you have been using? I LOVE your socks, by the way. I am in imminent danger of giving in to this temptation and trying some myself!!

What a gorgeous quilt! Such a collection of beautiful work as always! I love the striped yarn Dot is using for her socks. Is it one that you have been using too? I am giving in to the temptation to try some sock knitting!

Hi Meredithe, I am very behind with my blog reading as you can tell, but I am really looking forward to a feast for my eyes while I catch up! Sue E’s quilt is absolutely gorgeous. Where is it destined for? A wall, a bed? I wonder. It will look fab anywhere!
    Lucy xx
