Autumn

Autumn has decided to arrive.  Clocks went back an hour last weekend.  Nights are drawing in. The very air feels different.

Trees are finally doing their thing and the streets are ablaze with colour.1-IMG_2335 Some are attempting to be ‘rangas with just their tops turning red.

3-IMG_2337Others are taking the more mellow approach and gracefully turning gold.

2-IMG_2336Some have mixed feelings and are trying a bit of everything.

4-IMG_2338I tried an arty shot; aiming to get the light flooding through the colours of the leaves.

6-IMG_2340Walking underneath some of these trees, it still looks like Summer.

7-IMG_2341We’ve had some glorious Autumn days; cool nights and warm days.  But I think we’ve had our last hot day – we made it to 29 on Tuesday, and barely scraped the high teens yesterday.  And the best news of all – We’ve Had Rain!!  It started in the wee small hours of Wednesday morning and continued through until after lunch.  Just what the garden needed.

I do love Autumn.

Hope you’re enjoying your weather, wherever you are!

Your hot hot hot days behind you (with the lovely rain, now) is the best summer “tension reliever”!! As much as I love summer, it’s almost as though there is the subtle undercurrent that builds til the cooler lighter-air days of Autumn descend. Enjoy!!!! Your photos captured ‘your world’ beautifully!!!! Hugs…..
