On Friday and Saturday, the Millrose team had hosted Kaffe and Brandon for some lectures.
The shop was festooned with quilts made by students from previous classes or from Kaffe’s books, or just using Kaffe’s fabrics.
including this one of mine (so nice to see it hanging!) from a class I did with Kaffe and Brandon a few years ago.
and The Liberty Room was converted temporarily to The Kaffe Room!
However, we were there for Woolly Bits, so here’s your fill………
Lynne has her “Bird Dance” finished……Ta Da!!
complete with gorgeous Liberty backing and a rod pocket for hanging
GJ has decided her “Flower Bed” is so close to finished, she will work on the border
and she had great fun with running stitch and her threads
Katrina worked on her bag in the morning
and her “Bird Dance” in the afternoon
Joy is quilting gum nuts and gum leaves in her borders
Gail is decorating Christmas baubles
Jacinta is getting those birds’ wings sorted
and Lizzie is working on something new and wonderful, of her own creating
(and t’others are working on secret Sue Spargo blocks [current and last year’s BOM] which I can’t show you yet)
Lunch time rolled ’round quickly and it was off next door
for some sustenance
then back for more stitching.
My next bird didn’t get finished; too much counting required for bullions and drizzle stitch, and concentration for rosette chain!
And there was a little interruption when this arrived with my afternoon cuppa…….
yes, another 12 months has come around and I turned another year older on Saturday. And just for you Anne…….
A big Thank You to Sue and the Millrose staff, and my Woolly Bits class mates for making my birthday extra special!
Hope you’ve all had a fab weekend too, Dear Peeps!
