Friday stitching

Karen was our hostess for Friday sewing and she made sandwiches for our lunch (Karen makes The Best egg sandwiches ever!)

20160220-175347.jpgwith apple cake, Tim-Tams and a little healthy fruit for afternoon tea!

20160220-175450.jpgSue has prepped these William Morris blocks for some button hole appliqué

20160220-175540.jpgand she and Karen had a road trip (without me!) last week to get some fabrics to go with the blocks. They found these purples

20160220-175648.jpgand these greens (complete with matching bag!)

20160220-175715.jpgand just because, these blues and a stork covered mat-and-layout-folder-thingy (I don’t know their official name)

20160220-180051.jpgA close up of that white fabric? Certainly!

20160220-180125.jpgI think it was from Cutting Cloth. And Karen bought these

20160220-180312.jpgand these

20160220-180343.jpgOn the stitching front, we’ve had more cool evenings, so Karen has been quilting

20160220-180443.jpgSue was quilting too

20160220-180510.jpgI appliquéd more circles

20160220-180540.jpgMiss K came and had a lesson in button hole appliqué

20160220-180620.jpgand Maree was doing the opposite to all of us; having decided the vine fabric was too wishy washy, off it came!

20160220-180730.jpgWe had a special treat from one of Karen’s grand daughters who had to come and see her Nanna to show off her new dancing shoes!

These ones for tap

20160220-180901.jpgand these for ballet

20160220-180922.jpgSo sweet!

The egg sandwiches……….huge sigh!! My fave, too. And those fabrics!!!! Actually, so many are in my stash, also!!!!! I just KNOW that (if a half a globe didn’t separate us) I would ‘fit’ right in with this group of talented gals! The dancing shoes took me down memory lane to my childhood dancing days. Way back then, though, black was the only color BUT….my toe shoes were a gorgeous pink with pink satin ties…………ahhhhhhhh….the memories are flooding………….

  6. Wonderful food …. I am down to my last few TimTams, must order more!! Lots of gorgeous fabrics and projects …… and those sweet little dance shoes!!
