Class show and tell

I’m delighted to tell you that I’ve accepted the offer of a teaching position at Sewn and Quilted and I started this week! So, here’s what was happening…….

I worked out a corner plan for Karen’s lozenge border……..

20160220-172729.jpgand she started stitching it up

20160220-172753.jpgI think we will have to tweak the middle lozenge (the bottom left hand gap)…….

Sue basted her appliqué corners so we could position them within the area of the background, and allow for the hexagons

20160220-172930.jpgJo was cutting circles from her gorgeous Liberty fabrics

20160220-173016.jpgand Marilyn bought 4 more backgrounds for her brighter circles

Lyn opted to stay for the whole day, and in the morning I helped her set up the sewing machine and she practiced buttonhole stitch before beginning on her “real” piece in the afternoon

20160220-173244.jpgFrances cut out her first block of “English Whirl”

20160220-173338.jpgand Dot was cutting and bagging, cutting and bagging and cutting and bagging for her BOM “Foxley Village”

Thats a clever lozenge corner solution. It’s great to see you help a new group of quilters use their lovely fabrics in beautiful projects.

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
