Ma Kettle’s show and tell

I spent last weekend with Ma Kettle, and while there I finished her jumper. Yes, it’s finished! No sooner finished than tried on.

20151126-202434.jpgand such a perfect fit. The collar took the longest

20151126-202508.jpgand I’m really pleased with how the bands look on the jumper

20151126-202540.jpgand Ma is just delighted!

After that success, we bought some more wool from Bendigo Woollen Mills and I’ll next make the cardigan on the right using the stitch on the left – does that make sense?

20151126-203011.jpgMa’s been knitting herself, making a scarf to give away to charity from wool scraps in her cupboard

20151126-203127.jpgThe patio is looking lovely, with the orchids repotted and the camellia looking very healthy

20151126-203253.jpgand Ma was recently given this beautiful begonia which has pride of place on the patio table and can be seen from both the lounge and kitchen windows.

  6. Ma’s jumper looks fabulous – I love the collar. I know that it will be very special to her, just like all your beautiful quilts which your Dad so proudly showed to us last year.

Wow Meredithe! That sweater is gorgeous — and you were so speedy! How on earth did you get such a perfect fit? I’m always afraid of them being too small that I end up with them too big LOL. Beautiful Job!!!
