Class show and tell

Wednesday

It must have been the day for patchwork clothing, as one of the fabric reps came into the store wearing this gorgeous clamshell skirt she’d made

20151123-154201.jpgand Sue 3 had been shopping and this dress caught her eye and couldn’t be passed up

20151123-154251.jpgMeanwhile, on the sewing front, Lois 1 and I played with her Drunkards Path blocks

20151123-154335.jpgAnne-Maree has her hexies all basted ready to be appliquéd down

20151123-154417.jpgafter a couple of dramas, Ellen has her hexie border finally stitched on

20151123-154458.jpgSue 3 did more cutting for the Secret Quilt

20151123-154533.jpgKaren was dutifully counting and sewing to “18” shapes for her borders

20151123-154616.jpgJenny is getting dizzy stitching around her circles

20151123-154652.jpgand Deirdre is back and dutifully hand quilting – the number of safety pins is reducing

Thursday

Lois 2 was happily playing with Lucy Boston blocks, with some pretty amazing fussy cutting happening

20151123-154945.jpgFiona has finished another “ninth”

20151123-155009.jpgthat’s 2/9th’s down and 7/9th’s to go on her “Star a Day” – nearly a third of the way there

20151123-155109.jpgMarilyn has finished another set of borders, so we worked out how big to cut the intervening plain fabric border

20151123-155156.jpgJosephine wants a new Christmas wall hanging, so we’ve cobbled together some ideas and it will look something like this!

20151123-155248.jpg
Intrigued? You’ll have to wait and see!

Lorraine is progressing with her appliqué

20151123-155336.jpgand Karen brought this back from her recent trip to Market

20151123-155549.jpgand under the lid is……

20151123-155613.jpgand underneath that is…..

20151123-155632.jpgSuch a beautiful Shaker Box – serious box envy happening here!! (The little hexies are cute too, huh?)

The clamshell skirt is a lovely idea, you could turn the clamshells round so the bottom edge had a nice scalloped edge. I have serious box envy as well, it is just lovely, perfect size to take along to sewing group.
