It must have been the day for patchwork clothing, as one of the fabric reps came into the store wearing this gorgeous clamshell skirt she’d made
and Sue 3 had been shopping and this dress caught her eye and couldn’t be passed up
Meanwhile, on the sewing front, Lois 1 and I played with her Drunkards Path blocks
Anne-Maree has her hexies all basted ready to be appliquéd down
after a couple of dramas, Ellen has her hexie border
finally stitched on
Sue 3 did more cutting for the Secret Quilt
Karen was dutifully counting and sewing to “18” shapes for her borders
Jenny is getting dizzy stitching around her circles
and Deirdre is back and dutifully hand quilting – the number of safety pins is reducing
Lois 2 was happily playing with Lucy Boston blocks, with some pretty amazing fussy cutting happening
Fiona has finished another “ninth”
that’s 2/9th’s down and 7/9th’s to go on her “Star a Day” – nearly a third of the way there
Marilyn has finished another set of borders, so we worked out how big to cut the intervening plain fabric border
Josephine wants a new Christmas wall hanging, so we’ve cobbled together some ideas and it will look something like this!
Intrigued? You’ll have to wait and see!
Lorraine is progressing with her appliqué
and Karen brought this back from her recent trip to Market
and under the lid is……
and underneath that is…..
Such a beautiful Shaker Box – serious box envy happening here!! (The little hexies are cute too, huh?)
