A weekend interstate

Oops! Life has been a tad busy and I have a lot to catch you up with!

Two weekends ago it was Melbourne Cup weekend in Victoria, but was I here enjoying horse racing type activities? No! I kidnapped Helen and Mrs Mac and we set off up the highway to visit our friend Lynette and for me to promote my class at Heather’s Quilting Emporium for next year.

We love staying with Lynette; her home is so welcoming and her hospitality so warm

20151109-180048.jpgWe ate out (no dishes to wash up!); went to the Moama Market; watched fabulous night lightening displays and listened to storms; got drenched in a violent rain storm; and caught up with friends.

On the Monday we went to Heather’s early to set up (we would have done the evening before, but see reference to rain above!). It turned out to be a beautiful day. Our gazebo was soon festooned with colourful quilts, all made with my templates, by students, friends and myself……

20151109-181203.jpgAround the corner (see where the bunting is in the above pic?) is the pool – that was so tempting as the day wore on and the sun’s heat increased – and I love the colours in the chairs

20151109-181419.jpgIf you’re interested in doing a Template Class with me, or indeed classes with any other teachers Heather is having visit in 2016, contact Heather at the link above.

20151109-181532.jpgYou can stay at Heather’s too, at the B&B and enjoy the beautiful gardens for yourself.

20151109-181629.jpgAfter a successful day, back at Lynette’s we opened a bottle or two

20151109-181714.jpgand enjoyed an evening in Lynette’s garden.

What gorgeous quilts and a perfect backdrop for them. Lynette’s garden and pool look divine. The poolside chairs are great. No wonder you enjoyed your visit.

Nothing can ever be better than good health to enjoy great food, fantastic friends, gorgeous stitching and a lovely day to savor all of it! Can you tow your country with your meetings and ambience closer to the Pacific Northwest for us to enjoy too? But thank you, thank you for blogging so we can close our eyes and pretend to be there! Now to go clean up my drool from the computer desk in my remote mountain home.

  7. It all looks fabulous ….. and I love that you featured the food first!!
