Woolly Bits Club

It was delightful to be back at Millrose for Woolly Bits Club on Sunday.

20151028-201847.jpgI got to vent some anger by using Lizzie’s circle punch equipment, making a Swiss cheese effect in this piece

20151028-202010.jpg(ooh that was fun!)

And what were they for? For bird eyes

20151028-202053.jpgPretty good, me thinks.

We dined in the downstairs room at the cafe and as the day was warm the doors were open.

20151028-202328.jpgDelicious lunches as per usual

20151028-202130.jpgand we all knuckled down to our stitching in the afternoon:

Lizzie was working on her piece from her trip to Orvieto

20151028-202532.jpgJoy is embellishing

20151028-202601.jpgGail is making birds and trees

20151028-202631.jpgLynne is quilting

20151028-202657.jpgJan was embroidering

20151028-202731.jpgGJ stitched down a bird ready for embroidery

20151028-202759.jpgJacinta’s birds are multiplying and growing beautiful wings

20151028-202848.jpgAnd me? I finished my first bird……

20151028-202935.jpg…..it’s only taken all year! One down 29 to go!!

I love all the birds – I must sort out all my woolly bits and get myself organised to make a start on mine!!

Just had to let you know that I met (again) Karen Styles, and discussed her amazing quilts,at the Houston International Quilt Festival last eve. Her work is so wonderful. I could have stood there at least an hour, if time allowed. So enjoyable. Told her, also, I’m a fan of your postings. Will probably have one last look at those quilts on Sunday. Blessings from Texas,Pat Mosley

I want to have a woolly bits club. I don’t know what it is, but it sounds fun. Are you working from a particular pattern, or just making it up as you go?

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
