Chasing away the blues

Yesterday The Golfer suggested a day out, and after some discussion (I wanted a walk on the beach and somewhere we don’t usually visit), he suggested Torquay, so off we went.

It was one of “those” Spring days; mild, sunny, cloudy, overcast, rainy and cold, or in other words, four seasons in one day! On the way down we passed several paddocks brilliantly yellowed with crops of ripening canola

20150921-214911.jpgAfter lunch in town we went out to the surf beach; you can see how the weather had changed.

20150921-215016.jpgThere are some “seats” along the path carved from driftwood (this is for you Malcolm)

20150921-215342.jpgIf you squint and look closely at this next pic, you’ll see some black specks below the cliffs; there were four foolhardy souls out on their surf boards. It was bad enough trying to walk along the path in a freezing, blustery wind let alone be in the water!

20150921-215729.jpgLooking back the other way you can see some people walking dogs…….again, brrr!

20150921-215816.jpgThis tree tells the story of long years in the wind.

20150921-215859.jpgDespite the cold and wind there are plants flowering,

20150921-220122.jpgor they would be if the sun had come out!

The invigorating walk in the “bracing breeze” blew some cobwebs away……….

Good that some of those cobwebs are gone, they can sure clutter up the design process. A day out with hubby is a always a good thing.
