When GJ and I were out the other weekend, we chanced upon a market in a church hall, took a gamble and walked on in. And what a good decision that was! The “Handmade Show” is exactly that; everything for sale is handmade, but quality hand made and covers a variety of goods including, soaps, cards, jewellery, condiments amongst other things. Unfortunately I can’t show you what I bought just yet, but I can share the details of the shows for the rest of the year

In another discovery, The Golfer and I have found a delightful bijou cafe hidden away on a suburban street (I think it used to be the ubiquitous “corner milk bar” in its day)

20150627-194231.jpgWe stopped in for lunch; The Golfer had his favourite chicken schnitzel on focaccia

20150627-194331.jpgand I tried the quinoa and roast pumpkin salad, which was delicious

Meredithe, have you ever thought that you should be hired to write reviews on all the wonderful places you visit and discover. You could just about start up a small business, informing all of your readers that are stuck in an office, Monday-Friday, what is happening out there in Melbourne!

Thanks for the ‘heads up’! I’m always on the lookout for a new market! One to put in the diary! Don’t you love a good salad? Yummy!

  4. Poor Helen, upset by all those birds!! The food looks delicious, and the market sounds excellent!
