Class show and tell

Carole has finished the little baby quilt we started together a few weeks ago

20150507-151849.jpgand Carole had had a birthday in the last week, receiving sewing gifts from her family and friends, including this new sewing basket

20150507-152012.jpgand along with her bag, she’s made a nifty little needle case

20150507-152052.jpgwhich I think is this one from the gorgeous Amy

20150507-152248.jpgCarole also has a starter pack from Amitie

20150507-152431.jpgand has made a start

20150507-152455.jpgon Green Tea

20150507-152601.jpgSue 3 is progressing well with her Green Tea

20150507-152649.jpgDeirdre basted a quilt ready for machine quilting next week

20150507-152723.jpgand finished off her little pin cushions

20150507-152750.jpgLois has gone back to putting sashings on this quilt

20150507-152821.jpgand Jenny made more strips.

Marilyn has pieced four borders by machine

20150507-153002.jpgand started hand sewing in the background pieces.

Sue 2 appliquéd these cute circles

20150507-153112.jpgSue 1 was laying out her Green Tea

20150507-153157.jpgFiona cut and laid out the border for her quilt

20150507-153228.jpgLorraine made two hexies for her new quilt

20150507-153432.jpgJane has sets going together

20150507-153457.jpgCarylin has dozens more stars

20150507-153521.jpgand Lisa sat quietly, working away and with 5 minutes to go before the end of class, and with a flourish, laid out her Galaxy quilt on the floor. All it needs now is a narrow border of background.

Lots of lovely work here… the Galaxy quilt top is very striking! And I’m enjoying following the GTSB progress! The thing I notice is that all the fabrics used in both these projects are quite different to those we have available here in NZ, where does one purchase these pretties? Linda
