A very Millrose weekend – part 2

We interrupted our sewing on Saturday to go to the ANZAC parade and service. Saturday had dawned cold and wet

20150427-145226.jpgand as the rain had really set in by the time we left, umbrellas were the order of the day.

20150427-145316.jpgIt looked like the whole town, and many from surrounding towns, had turned out and we were all very moved by the service.

Back at the house, Maree has a new sewing machine

20150427-145549.jpg($89.00 from the Post Office of all places!) and she proceed to attach border to her “Museum Medallion”

20150427-145734.jpgchanging it up from Judy’s version; there’s another border going on with appliqué.

Miss A bought fabric for Judy’s “French Market Medallion”

20150427-145936.jpgWe’re Judy Junkies really, aren’t we?!

Miss F was prepping

20150427-150137.jpgas was GJ

20150427-150203.jpgfor her version

20150427-150232.jpgMiss C prepped

20150427-150357.jpgand stitched

20150427-150449.jpglots of gorgeous “Emma Mary” blocks

20150427-150520.jpgMiss H prepped an “Aunts’ Quilt” block

20150427-150625.jpgmade some stars, and sewed an extra line to make little hst’s

20150427-150726.jpgmaking all of these, twice (that’s the pile)

20150427-150803.jpgAnd that’s not all! Back tomorrow with yet more…….

HI Meredithe, lovely post again. That bird sketchy fabric is amazing. Love the stars. Oh yesterday I was in a bakeshop cooking shop and thought of you, and all the aussie bloggers I follow or seem to follow, sometimes I don’t even realize until they say sunday is over and it is first thing in the morning! They had the cutest koala and kangaroo cookie cutters.
    Greetings from Switzerland,
