Saturday’s sewing day was at Maree’s and we had a great turn out of Squealers – eight of us in all. We all bring something to share for afternoon tea.
Organised people bring home made chocolate chip biscuits and home made scones with home made jam, and those of us less organised (me!) bring Easter eggs!
Melbourne does Autumn spectacularly well, and Saturday was no exception.
We had a sneak peek at Maree’s design wall
and a look around her sewing space
Kaye has been working on a commission quilt
with lots of appliqué
and lots of embroidery (I wanted to take it home with me!!)
and now that the top is finished, Kaye can get back to her own project
Cathie had some lovely fabrics for a baby quilt
Mrs Mac was working another embroidered basket
Maree had progressed with her knitting
and Miss V is knitting for her grand daughter
Miss E is on a finishing quest and and thought she should finish this long stitch, started when her daughter was two……..
said daughter is now 19!!
Helen was happily appliquéing
and I was cutting out more of “those” blocks!
I’ll show you what I’m up to in a week or so!
