Class show and tell

Wednesday

GJ lent me her “Green Tea and Sweet Beans” (Sweet Tea and Green Beans?) to show the two Sue’s and Carole how the finished quilt looks.

20150404-174453.jpgand they pored over it!

Carole finished hand piecing all the “Richmond” blocks together.

20150404-174727.jpgAdrienne was tracing, tracing, tracing…..

20150404-174820.jpgSue 3 and I chose some fabrics for another of her blocks

20150404-174955.jpgDeirdre and I threw around some suggestions for a charm pack, she decided on one and started the prep work

20150404-175145.jpgand Lois was cutting out her pretties.

Thursday

Lorraine brought in a beautiful throw she’s knitted (couldn’t resist doing a little collage with these!)

20150404-175455.jpgand Fiona showed us a scarf her mum made her

20150404-175551.jpgPeggy carefully trimmed down her half square triangles

20150404-175626.jpgChris was piecing

20150404-175658.jpgand Carylin would have had her “Farmers’s Wife” together, but a new addition to the family necessitated a trip to western Victoria to see the baby niece (it is two thirds together!), so she’s piecing stars

20150404-181147.jpgand with Sue A’s help, Carylin chose fabrics for (another) “Avalon” which will be given away as a friend’s 60th birthday present.

20150404-181334.jpgThe recipient likes creams and yellows……..so good choices, we thought!

I love the green tea and sweet beans. I have the pattern myself and I can’t wait to start it. I think the Tigers quilts must be a good luck charm as we won our first game of the year. I love all the knitting, it looks so soft and cuddly. Wishing you a very Happy Easter.
