Friday stitching

Last Friday, stitching was here at p and c. I made a simple chicken, mango and avocado salad, and thoroughly enjoyed making another loaf of bread for our lunch.

20150201-122014.jpgKeeping with the healthy theme, it was fruit for afternoon tea, with just a little bit of naughtiness!

20150201-122112.jpghmmm, salted caramel dark chocolate……dark chocolate is good for you, right?!

Miss Helen finished the quilt top she had on her design wall last week

20150201-122232.jpgI love the touch of ric-rac

20150201-122255.jpgand she’s found the perfect backing for it too!

20150201-122321.jpgMrs Mac has been shopping too

20150201-122519.jpgand these are for her Lucy Boston.

Mrs Mac has also finished a quilt top. This was going to be the “trial” one, a practice before she started cutting into her “good” fabrics

20150201-122702.jpgbut she loves how this version has turned out! It’s from the “Sunday Morning Quilts” book and I think it’s gorgeous too! It’s so “Mrs Mac”!

20150201-122913.jpgIt’s turned into a bit of a memory quilt, with the first fabric she ever bought, her favourite hydrangea fabric, pieces from quilts she’s made for her daughter and grand daughters……….

20150201-123052.jpgIsn’t that a lovely bit of serendipity?

What a great piecing Mrs Mac’s “trial” flimsy is!!!! I truly love scrappy memory piecings and this idea is so flexible/adaptable to any size scraps. Ms Helen’s finish is, of course, totally lovely (how can one miss with pinwheels????) and that backing couldn’t be more perfect!!! A lovely/yummy share……………………….

Oooh Yum — looks like you had a wonderful lunch — with just the right amount of chocolate (which is always mandatory in a healthy lunch!) Looks like some pretty projects too!!!

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
