I am ridiculously pleased with this first Ta-Da of 2015!! “Hampton Cabins” is finished, binding (at 11.22 last night), label (a few minutes ago) and all!! She’s big – 88″ – and The Golfer had a little trouble stretching his arms to hold it all, so it’s not the best full photo……
I love the fabrics; there’s some Kokka, some Liberty, spots, trees, and bracelets, to name but a few
I’m so happy to have found a way to use this fabulous fabric
I’m delighted with the two-fabric binding
and how the corners show the two different fabrics
and they way they both
pick up on the fabrics used
and I’m particularly chuffed with the quilting
and extend a huge Thank You to Heather from Heather’s Quilting Emporium for helping me get this quilt to the finish line, with such super quilting!

Oh Meredithe she’s a beauty, you sound proud of your quilt and rightfully so, yes the 2 fabric binding is great too, the central square fabric is lovely and as it is a big design suits the way it’s been used, GO GIRL!!! well done, enjoy the snuggles ahead in the cooler months.

I just knew that those 2 fabrics would make up perfectly and they did……an awesome finish and the size is wonderfully useful! All those prints take me back to the peasant prints of years ago….summery, gauzy, happy!!! The quilting motif is so spot on for this one.
