A little home cooking

No, this is not a smiley face……..(didn’t notice that until I downloaded the photo!)

200g plain flour
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of oil
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tab water
Mixed together (add more water if needed), kneaded until smooth and silky. Wrap in plastic and an hour later it’s ready to be put through the pasta machine and turned into this

20150105-200815.jpgwhich is perfect with
Garlic (from Pa Kettle’s garden!)
Tomatoes (from Ma and Pa Kettle – they were both equally delicious, Kettles!)
Can of tomatoes
Cooked up for about an hour, then combined with the pasta (cooked for 4 minutes)

With a splash of cream, a crumble of goats cheese, and a sprinkle of home grown parsley……….

Equals YUM!!

What did you have for dinner!

Love your “happy face” (intended or not!)!! It’s been eons since I’ve made pasta! It may be the thing to do this week (while the temps struggle to hit ‘0’ (F) during the day and double digit below at night!!! The furnace has been running non-stop (almost) the last few hours……it’s -8 right now!! Ugh!!!!

  3. That looks delicious! We are having a sort of veggie stew with cauliflower “rice” – yes, it’s back on the straight and narrow!
Glad the applique threads turned up, and I’m with you on the therapeutic values of a good clearout!!

Home made paste! What a treat. Actually, running Man and I were both to lazy to cook yesterday so we made popcorn for dinner!
