Woolly Bits – part 1

I’ve just had a fab weekend! It was our last Woolly Bits class at Millrose and last year we decided that this year we would stay for the weekend…..the whole weekend! So that’s what we did, and it was great fun!!

The Retreat is sumptuous

20141202-114417.jpgbeautifully appointed, with large areas for sewing, eating and relaxing

20141202-114516.jpgOf course, we took up some nibbles

20141202-114718.jpgbut the rest of our meals we ate at or were provided by the cafe, and scrumptious they were too

20141202-115017.jpgOn Friday afternoon the outdoors beckoned, and several of us spent a very pleasant time sitting on the deck, gently stitching and chatting – heavenly!

20141202-115421.jpgI spied a number of lovely tins…..

20141202-115510.jpgand in the house, a number of textural cushions

20141202-115547.jpgSomeone brought along a suitcase of fabric (not me!)

20141202-115714.jpgor a new project to start (not mine!)

20141202-115750.jpgor projects to finish (again, not mine)

20141202-115904.jpgKatrina turned these

20141202-120110.jpginto this

20141202-120138.jpgand by the end of the weekend had all these

20141202-120219.jpgI, impulsively, made one too (from a great noodlehead tutorial)

20141202-120420.jpgand it’s now housing some knitting

20141202-120450.jpgI also finished four more Steampunk blocks

20141202-120606.jpgand made up the Sweetwater jelly roll into this

20141202-120813.jpg(anxiously awaiting yardage to hit our shores so I can border, back and bind it!!)

Very satisfying! But that’s not all we got up to…….come back tomorrow for more!
