I’ve just had a fab weekend! It was our last Woolly Bits class at Millrose and last year we decided that this year we would stay for the weekend…..the whole weekend! So that’s what we did, and it was great fun!!
The Retreat is sumptuous
beautifully appointed, with large areas for sewing, eating and relaxing
Of course, we took up some nibbles
but the rest of our meals we ate at or were provided by the cafe, and scrumptious they were too
On Friday afternoon the outdoors beckoned, and several of us spent a very pleasant time sitting on the deck, gently stitching and chatting – heavenly!
I spied a number of lovely tins…..
and in the house, a number of textural cushions
Someone brought along a suitcase of fabric (not me!)
or a new project to start (not mine!)
or projects to finish (again, not mine)
Katrina turned these
and by the end of the weekend had all these
I, impulsively, made one too (from a great noodlehead tutorial)
and it’s now housing some knitting
I also finished four more Steampunk blocks
and made up the Sweetwater jelly roll into this
(anxiously awaiting yardage to hit our shores so I can border, back and bind it!!)
Very satisfying! But that’s not all we got up to…….come back tomorrow for more!
