In the garden

I can’t begin to tell how much joy the Bottle Brush has given me this year. I showed you a pic last time, but I’ve gone overboard this time!! Indulge me!

In real life, the red is much redder – you’ll just have to imagine that!

20141113-144136.jpgIt is laden with flowers and giving loads of food to visiting wattle birds and the many, many bees that are constant visitors. The tree buzzes all day long as the bees sup on the nectar, flying eagerly from flower to flower – must too fast for me to snap their photo!

Another of Spring’s delights!

Isn’t that gorgeous! All of the spring flower posts from so many AU quilters in blogs and on IG are a lovely break from the view out of our windows here in the U.S., not happy about our very early blast of frigid sir and snow this week!

Thank you for sharing your springtime beauty while we freeze our tootsies off her in ‘the south’ US. Brr.

Sometimes, the nature helps us to take some ideas and we improve them in a quilt !!
This red-rose is so gorgeous and the flowers are unusual, but so amazing !!

  4. I shall need to show your bottle brush to ours, and say that is what it should look like, instead of the one flower it produced this year!!

Oooh, those bottlebrush plants are so beautiful! Are they in bloom all spring and summer? I’m surprised they still have blooms — it’s been almost 2 months {sniff}{sniff} since I saw them. I wish we had them here, but they probably wouldn’t survive our winters. It’s been 10F (that’s -12 for you C people) already here this year — it’s about 6 weeks early!
