Eliott Stitchers

What with one thing and another, it’s been an age since I’ve been to Eliott Stitchers. So it was such a pleasure to attend this week.

As always GJ fed us royally

20141113-074434.jpgMiss Heather has made not one, but two block holders (both in my favourite kind of fabrics – look away Miss Helen!!)

20141113-074609.jpgThis first one is for hexagons

20141113-074649.jpgand this second one is for The Aunts’ Quilt. (Gulp – er, um…..more on that quilt soon!!)

20141113-074752.jpgHeather has also made a fabulous 21, yes that’s 21, poppies for the 5000 poppies tribute (click the link to discover more about this wonderful event).

20141113-075201.jpgGJ diligently stitched while we watched “How to Make an American Quilt” and had a Ta-Da moment at the end of the movie!!

20141113-075341.jpgSuch a beautiful way to showcase her toiles

Love this post Meredithe. Elliott Stitchers posts never disappoint. Love the block holders (where can I get a pattern) and the gorgeous toile quilt. I too had forgotten about the movie. Think it’s going in my sewing packing for our 5 day getaway next week with our Sew Addicted group.
