Brrrr, it was cold!! Sunshine first thing, but as I collected essential sewing supplies for a day in the studio
it started to rain
Half an hour later the sun was out again
and it continued to alternate rain and sunshine all day, including at one stage, a rainbow!
Helen put up her “Sunburst” blocks – with a spare – and we decided that it does need to be 4 x 4, so she’s going to make another three blocks
Helen then put up her “Carpenter’s Wheel”
playing with corners and borders
and by day’s end, it was done, except for the appliquéd corners!!!
Kaye had laid out her appliqué on Saturday
then prepped hexagons on Sunday
This girl is soooooo organised!
Mrs Mac put borders on this quilt
and this quilt
Lynette played with these fabrics
(can’t show you with what until November!!)
I’d done this much on Saturday
and finished it
and the second one for my Woolly Bits Block Book.
We did interrupt our stitching for some home made lunch – Yum!!
And I nearly forgot to show you Lynette’s prize buy of the weekend! Check out this 1960’s sewing basket!
and the inside – such good nick!
and yes, it is velvet on top!
A very satisfying day all ’round!!
