Craft and Quilt Fair

On Friday, Miss Helen, GJ and I took the train into the city to visit the Quilt and Craft Fair and had a loVerly day!

We had a delightful time talking to so many new, wonderful, favourite, interesting people……….

Stopped at Quiltmania to renew my magazine subscription and received this Michelle Yeo bag, celebrating Michelle’s new book.

Emma and Cathy were there to promote their new BOM, and to let us all know that Treehouse Textiles is moving to a new shop in Mornington – very exiting! Picked up these bits from Emma…..

20140628-121602.jpgFound Issue 11 of Vignette and these gorgeous bird prints on fabric!

20140628-131111.jpgMillrose, besides all their usual gorgeousness, have the new Sue Spargo book

20140628-131425.jpgThese fabulous prints are from maze and vale; hand printed using ecologically sound methods and fabrics……love!

20140628-131628.jpgTwo spectacular hand prints from Reece Scannell just begging to be made into something wonderful

20140628-131829.jpg(not sure what yet, but the brain is ticking!!)

And from the delightful Morgan, at a Crafty Squirrel a pack of 10.5″ squares and – wait for it – a Red.Spotty.Crochet.Hook!! How much fun is that??!!

20140628-132156.jpgWe did also peruse the quilts at the Show, and were delighted to see our Kaye won “Best Use of Colour” for a quilt I hope to show you before too long!! Several other friends won prizes too – congratulations to all!

Along the way we ran into many friends and had a delightful time catching up on news – and seeing their purchases too!

Weary and laden with our goodies, but very satisfied, we headed home; great stands, lovely quilt show and the joy of friendship – perfect!

Sounds like a great trip — you got lots of beautiful goodies. And holy cow — I was looking at the quilt on your new quiltmania bag and look at the size of those teeny tiny squares on the first pieced border after the medallion — wow!

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
