This week saw the last class for my students for 2013. It sounds impossible!
Jane has had lots of fun with her quarter square triangles (QST)
and Cathie has been playing with QST too
Cathie was also sporting this lovely scarf (yes, it’s the middle of December and we still need a scarf!)
Lois and I had fun choosing fabrics for a flower
Ally started appliquéing her melons
Ally also brought in her – first! – finished quilt
here’s a close up of how we finessed the corners….
…and “managed” the subsequent shortfall at the sides….
It all worked out so well. Ally has done a fabulous job and I think there will be one very happy daughter on Christmas morning!!
Lorraine and Peggy continued working on their current projects and we had a couple of absentees due to other commitments.
We downed tools late morning and shared a delicious morning tea (Jane’s caramel slice is super scrumptious!!)….
…then it was time to say our farewells and exchange Christmas greetings…..still unbelievable that Christmas is so close!
There will be more Class Show and Tell in February, and I suspect a few new projects will be started in 2014!! I’m looking forward to it!
