I missed out on quite a few lovely stitching dates last weekend……Mr Laryngitis is paying a long, protracted (very unwelcome) visit and by Monday I’d had enough and set out to Linda’s. No way was I missing out on hearing about her recent exploits in the USA! Besides, I’d only have to listen, not talk….perfect!

Linda did have some great stories to tell us (you can read about some on her blog), and there was some wonderful show and tell too. Here’s a taste….

  1. Poor you! Some years ago when Malcolm lost his voice, the doctor advised him to whisper, rather than try to tallk – that helped. Hope you get better soon – you will just have to have lots of rest and hot drinks (with honey in them) ……. and I prescribe a large glass of a good white wine every evening!!

  2. So sorry to hear your under the weather. No being able to converse is as bad as not using your hand…. Well at least you can sew. What beautiful quilts and I’m sure the recount of your friends trip was a treat. What no snack pics?

Great show and tell as always! I love the basket quilt and the quilt in the lower left of the second group. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

  4. Commiserations. It’s almost as wearing not being able to talk as trying to! Hope you’re much better very quickly. And thanks for sharing the lovely colours on this chilly, chilly morning (well, it is here!).

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
