A Cure For Cabin Fever!!

My poor-winged-house-bound-friend Glenda rang the other day and pleaded suggested that she was desperate we might like a day out. Only too willing to help out (any excuse!!), I readily agreed, and we had a lovely day!

First stop was Turner and Lane a fabulous home wares store (click on the link to see all their gorgeousness)…

20130725-180550.jpgI wanted at least one of everything in the store!! Just love those “knitted” bowls; the glasses were so colourful, perfect for a summer picnic or lunch on the deck; another basket wouldn’t go astray!!, just don’t know where I’d store it! And how’s this for a change room curtain!…

20130725-180810.jpgAfter reluctantly taking our leave (and promising each other we’ll return!), we strolled further up Malvern Road to Wondoflex to restock on wool so I can continue with my Ripple Rug (sadly I’ve had to put this aside as I’d run out of yarn!)

20130725-183309.jpgThe colour in this store is always a delight to the eye!

Across the road then to Sissi and Co for a delectable lunch – we were too busy chatting and I forgot to photograph our meals, but did remember the “dessert” we shared…

20130725-183138.jpg….a scrumptious little carrot cake, just enough to finish off!

As we walked back to the car, we spotted this in a fortunately closed shop. I.WANT.IT!!!

20130725-183746.jpgWe also had a little wander down Whitehorse Road in Balwyn – no photos, but I will show you the spoils of the day shortly!

Happy stitching
