The Good and the Bad

The Good

:: Karen is having a birthday sale – a 10th birthday sale!! – and so I’ve had to help her celebrate…

:: wonderful, enabling friends who blog about tempting things, which “somehow”(!) turn up in the post (nothing to do with the Internet and credit cards!!!)

20130408-163804.jpgby Keiko Goke. Have you ever seen more colourful, vibrant, stimulating fabrics?!

:: the extra hour of sleep yesterday morning as we transitioned from Daylight Savings Time to “normal” time. Did any of you affected take advantage? I did!

The Bad

:: waking up this morning with a cold

:: rapidly losing my voice and going downhill quickly

:: not even feeling like stitching!!

Happy (sniffles, croak, croak) stitching

  1. Poor you! Definitely a day to lay on the sofa and have lots of hot drinks and of course chocolate! Hope the voice comes back soon! Our clocks went the other way last weekend, so we are now in “British Summer Time” ….. if only the weather would shift into summer mode.

Hi M, I do hope you feel better soon… maybe you can catch some of this lovely autumn sunshine through the window or sit outside.
In the meantime, lemon and ginger tea (Twinings) with a spoon of honey is my remedy for colds.
    Poor you.

  15. Carolyn says:

I’m sorry to hear you are sick. The flu seems to be going around. My mum used to say rest, stay warm and have honey and lemon. I hope you feel better soon.
