Millrose and Spargo

That header sounds like the name of a new shop, doesn’t it? It’s the abbreviated version of our Sunday activities! Once again we had a fabulous time at Millrose doing our Sue Spargo quilt.

Here are some of the class’s first blocks…

20130327-103302.jpg..oh, I’ve just realised that some of the blocks are ’round the wrong way! Sorry! Makes for interesting viewing though!!

Can you imagine the excitement and anticipation when we saw the kits for the next two blocks?! (they’re the ones that you saw yesterday)…

20130327-103518.jpgMy hands were shaking so much, I nearly couldn’t open the bags!! But it was straight into it; sorting, aligning pattern piece with appropriate fabric, pressing, cutting, placing, and then whip stitching, with my mind whirring, sifting, sorting through the myriad options for the embellishing……this is Such A Pleasurable Way to while away the hours. To quote someone else, it makes my heart go skippety-skip and gives me such joy!

Along with the delectation of wooly bits, the company is such fun, there’s tin envy, trinkets and pin cushions to excite, and embellishment goodnesses to purchase

20130327-104934.jpgGuess what I’ll be doing over the Easter break?!

Oh, and there was a little Retail Therapy too…….but that might have to wait until tomorrow!

Until then,

Happy stitching
