First Class Show and Tell for 2013!

This year is well and truly underway; class has started and 9 lovely students were back and had lots of great projects going, starting and completing!

Sue 2 had a very special birthday at the end of January, and she brought in the beautiful quilt we’d all helped to make…

20130207-151509.jpg(you can see more of Sue and her birthday quilt here)…then it was on with the sewing, and Sue has been working on her basket blocks…

20130207-151640.jpg…and made this cute little pentagon flower – the reel of thread is there to show you how tiny it is!…

20130207-151754.jpgLorraine had a busy Summer, working on her next appliqué project…

20130207-151854.jpg…she had taken a sampling of fabrics from this project on various journeys, as she was short of a couple of colours, ensuring she could choose the correct fabrics to add in – clever idea!…

20130207-152115.jpgJosephine has another pieced border on her Mrs Billings, and cut out the next borders in class and started stitching…

20130207-152405.jpgAnd Sue 1 has the first of her double diamond borders on, with the others ready to go!…

Happy stitching

    Hi Meredith
Love your update and I have been inspired, although a non-blogger, to create my own list for 13 projects in 2013 however I have added my knitting and cross stitch projects as well. I do like the idea of noting down the progress because I think we easily forget just how much we manage to do. Hope the new air con is keeping you cool!

Oh, how I wish I could be over there and join in your group. I would love to see all of this in person and work with such a talented room full of ladies! (or are there any gentlemen that join along)?

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
