FridaySewing

Spent a delightful afternoon yesterday sewing with friends at Mrs Mac’s. A balm to the soul amidst all the hustle and bustle of this busy time of year!

Mrs Mac, though, truly delights in this Christmas time: around June, she starts to tell us how many weeks there are until Christmas! She revels in it, baking madly to produce a delectable array of goodies to share and give away, taking great pleasure in buying gifts for her family and friends, attending and hosting Christmas functions, and in filling decorating her home with festive fair!

Her greatest indulgence, though, is her Christmas Village, which despite the protestations we hear during the year about not buying any more pieces, seems to grow annually! But it is enchanting….take a peek….

Did you spot the patchwork shop? There had to be one of those!! Mrs Mac’s grandchildren are enthralled with the abundance of Christmas-ness (as are many adults!).

This is the woman who, on the 13th of November sent me a text saying “….went to buy needles and came out with a gorgeous Christmas quilt pattern !!! ”

I always come away from Mrs Mac’s Christmas decked home imbued with Christmas spirit, for which I thank her!

Happy stitching
