Medallion Update

Just a thank you to those who are participating in the Medallion Quilt-A-Long – it’s very exciting seeing what everyone is up to.  Remember you can join at anytime!

Thanks to an SOS visit from Jan yesterday, I know a little more about Flickr!!  I can now make comments and upload photos – all this technology it just amazing isn’t it??!  My apologies to all the girls who had uploaded their photos as until yesterday I hadn’t made any comments about them – in writing that is, I’d made lots of exclamations looking at the photos!!

Talking of which, I had an e-mail from a lady called Nancy from the USA who is taking up the Medallion Quilt-a-Long challenge.  Nancy has chosen this fabulous fabric for her centre:

It’s by Jane Sassaman and is called Garden Divas – can’t wait to see how this one comes along!!

I took my triangles away to Merimbula and stitched them all into their borders and on the weekend stitched them to the centre for the Medallion Quilt-a-Long.

So, I started out with this

picked up these fabrics (which I’ve since added to!!)

added these

and squared it up like this

That’s Round 1 finished for me.  How’s yours going?  Would love to see your photos.  You can put them up on flickr and while you’re there check out what some other participants have done here.

What’s going to happen next month, eh?!?!  Not long to wait!

Happy stitching

I haven’t started mine yet but possibly over the weekend? Mine is much more traditional but I love your bright colour – perfect for spring time. I am just trying to use up fabric I already have. That will be a new experience for me!!!
