Medallion – Part 1

Alright girls, well let’s goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

It’s the 1st of September, so welcome to Medallion – Part 1…..

….  Drum roll please ….. which is….. (in keeping with the musical theme)

TRIANGLE BLITZ!!

Yep, the first round to add to your centre is triangles, and to help you on the way, a few suggestions……

:: think 45 degrees

:: think 60 degrees

:: think half square triangles

:: think quarter square triangles

:: think flying geese

:: think pinwheels

:: think small triangles

:: think BIG triangles

:: think combinations of the above

‘Nuff inspiration??

I know what Jan’s doing…. and at last I know what I’m doing (fewh!! – and mopping of sweated brow!)… and you?…. well, you have a month to decide and make!!

Now while you’re pondering triangles, a little bit of housekeeping.

:The wonderful Jan has set up a flickr group called Medallion Quilt-A-Long where you can upload your photos of your Medallion.  It would be great to see everyone’s centre to start with, then your progress as you go.  Will get you a link asap.  Link is here

:I am endeavouring to get a list of participants up (with blog addresses for those who have them) on the right hand side of my blog.  Give me a little while to master this procedure(!!) but if I’ve missed your name, please let me know so I can add you in there.

:You can join in on this project at any time – no pressure!!

:The wonderful Jan (again!) has suggested a get-together (for those who can make it to Sewjourn) sometime early in 2012 for a”progress show and tell” and later in 2012 for a “finished (if you have or even if you haven’t!!) show and tell”.  Dates to be confirmed in the not-too-distant future.
