Christmas Party Time

Yesterday was another Christmas party with stitching friends. This is the group that have been meeting once a month for the last 11 years….and still going strong!

Miss Helen was our hostess this year and she’d laid a beautiful table…

20121216-155132.jpg…put up, not one….

20121216-155223.jpg…but two Christmas trees!…

20121216-155330.jpg…and festive features around her home…

20121216-155423.jpg….including birds!…

20121216-155512.jpg…yes, that was birds plural!….

Once we’d all arrived, candles were lit…

20121216-155707.jpg…red bubbles and white bubbles poured…

20121216-155755.jpg…and a mountain of delicious, delectables graced the table…

Thereafter desserts arrived and a certain someone was far too distracted by those delicacies – mostly of the chocolate and/or raspberry nature – to take photos!!

I did manage to capture a shot of a Miss V’s new footwear…

20121216-160351.jpg…from which we were all suffering shoe envy!

The afternoon’s chat and laughter encompassed our gift giving exchange….

20121216-160542.jpg…I fear these very special friends know me only too well; there’s a decided amount of my favourite green, along with that mug, which, in case you can’t read it, says “I need therapy – retail therapy” !!!!

In the blink of an eye it was 6.00pm – how did that happen?! – and time for departures. We had a ball!

Hope you’re enjoying Christmas party/s too!

Happy stitching
Meredithe

PS The yellow submarine is for holding tea leaves which is then put in your cup! Ingenious!
