Jill brought this book to class a few weeks ago…
….as she is interested in making an Amish quilt…
Coincidentally, in one of my recent clean outs, I’d come across this kit…
…bought many years ago and which I knew I’d never make. So it was great to be able to give it to a good home. Between us we worked out a plan to make it bigger, then with Sue’s help Jill took the kit fabrics….
Jill very kindly gave me this book as a thank you for the kit…
There are some gorgeous pincushions in there, and as Jill said, even if I don’t make any, it’s a lovely book to browse through!
Marilyn brought along her clam shells which are steadily growing…
…and signed up for Karen’s latest block of the month, Robin’s Nest…

Sue 2 stitched more hexagon blocks…

And Lorraine has been experimenting with quilt as you go on a table runner…

Oh…I do like that table runner…looks a little bit christmasy
Love those clamshells! And the Amish kit will make up beautifully with the recent additions!
I have several Amish quilt books if you are interested .
I did my research project on the Amish culture and decorative arts when I was at college .
It is my passion, or one of them !
Happy to give any one my Amish talk!!!!

M its great to give something away to a good home when we know we won’t make it in a pink fit. Jill will do a good job with it. Nice pincushion book!
