Even More Spoilt!

This birthday has been coming now for about 3 weeks….. and loving it! (as Maxwell Smart would say!)

I’ve now had 2 birthday cakes, lots of meals out (with more tonight and tomorrow), beautiful cards and messages, and lovely presents.  Thank you all for your good wishes on this 50th birthday day and for making this birthday such a special one.  Love you all!

Sewing on the weekend also involved one of the birthday cakes.  But first the sewing.  Kaye has been working hard on her Mrs Billings…

putting her own interpretation on this pattern, and it’s looking fabulous!

and much of her afternoon was spent cutting out the next border (know that feeling!!)

Sue has started a new quilt and was deciding on borders

Heather was also cutting out for a new project

This is the Brown Sisters’ Quilt from Patchwork on Stonleigh which Karen has all stuck down…

The centre for Helen’s quilt is progressing nicely (with a few mumble, mumbles about cuuuurves!)

and three guess as to what I was up to?!

We had an extra little visitor for the early part of the day who had the cutest sandals

Helen fed us royally with these luscious mini mud cakes (such cute flowers for decoration)

and then we had birthday cake – twice!  Yes, we celebrated for Miss V and then for me.  Such fun!  (Helen was very diplomatic with the candles!)

Yesterday B and I headed north for a visit to The Kettles for birthday lunch and LittleBigBrother came up too.  We celebrated with delicious Chinese takeaway.

Dessert was THE most scrUMPtious chocolate mud birthday cake

(I’m not saying who went back for seconds….. but several people did!!)

It’s been a great round of festivities (with more to come!).  Thanks again for sharing in the celebration.  To all those yet to do it……. it’s fabulous turning 50!!
